Currently, she’s attempting to Save the World One Web Site at a Time – well, at least the content. She has served as an editor and web content writer for several internet marketing companies and found she likes it, so now she freelances for people who care about their content.
You’ll find some articles available on the links to your right. Fiction examples are found on her other website, Shawniverse.
The Georgia Press Association awarded Shawn first place for her sports writing and second place for her adventure column. Her poetry has been included in anthologies and has won two Editor’s Choice Awards from the International Library of Poetry. In 2008, she was named as one the best poets of the year. In the wee hours, she is completing her first novel.
Shawn has performed with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, the Boise Philharmonic, the Boise Summerfest series, and the Boise Faculty Brass Quintet. She earned numerous awards as both a soloist and principal player in a variety of symphonic bands, recitals, big bands, and a professional funk band.
She was a member of the 1984 International Olympic Marching Band in Los Angeles and the 1986 Liberty Marching Band for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty in New York.
She has cultivated a large arsenal of knowledge making her a virtual jack-of-all-trades. Her services and writing are practical, thorough, detailed, and empowering with a little humor mixed in – just for sanity’s sake. Let her take your writing to places you never thought possible.
Enjoy her site, ask questions, use her knowledge, and most of all …
